We use WordPress a lot to create effective CMS websites for clients, but in this case we are using it as a pure blog framework. A 20 minute tutorial and James was up and running, in fact since it’s launch a day ago the posts on the site are blossoming.

Why not stroll over an take a look – enjoy the musings of a very fertile mind.

If you’ve ever clipped a coupon or followed up a retail promotion in a newspaper – chances are that Incentive Media engineered the marketing behind the scenes.

These experts in creative marketing and promotions have their fingers on the pulse of the consumer and can come up with a range of effective techniques to boost sales. Their website no longer reflected their dynamism and Fission Creative was asked to develop a site that showcased their skills more effectively and also integrated social media – a channel which, more and more, is becoming a must-have tool for their own marketing. The resulting site shows that corporate doesn’t need to be ‘grey’ and reflects the buzz that the agency itself generates.

Very generous donations from clients, friends and family encouraged his downfall (so to speak), and made it easier for John to make his descent from the iconic Glasgow crane. And he loved every minute of it: “I’d have gone back up and done it all again right away,” says John of the experience. “The team at Enable were fantastic, with every aspect of the experience really well organised. I’d recommend it to anyone, whether you’re a thrill-seeker or a couch potato.”

IT gurus tmas wanted to run a tactical marketing campaign to promote their new Intec printer, which has fantastic capabilities previously only possible by using commercial printers.

We developed a direct mail piece which showcased its flexible printing on both wafer-thin paper and very thick board, and deliberately used the see-through qualities of the very thinnest paper that could be printed, to promote the message. It’s a message that’s very appropriate for tmas and the support it gives its clients.

This particular project was competed in short timescales to help get the message out there quickly and involved a number of technical and practical considerations so we’d also like to think that we help our clients through thick and thin too.

The Enable Scotland Titan Crane Abseil on 02/05/2010

On May 2nd 2010 John is going to be abseiling down the iconic Titan Crane in Glasgow, raising money for Enable Scotland.

Enable Scotland is a dynamic charity which campaigns for a better life for children and adults with learning disabilities, supporting them and their families to live, work and take part in their communities. John has previously proved his mettle by climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge (having previously boasted of climbing its sister, the Tyne Bridge, one Friday night in the Toon… but the less said about that, the better).

But at 150ft high the Titan Crane is anything but an easy ride down. Which is why it would be great to be doing it with as much support as possible from you.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - John raises more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you!

Not only that but we were also top scored in a further three categories – Creativity, Strategic Thinking and Value for Money.

The survey is an independently conducted poll of design clients throughout Scotland, carried out annually for industry magazine The Drum and published on April 2nd. As Managing Director Morag Malloy explains, it’s particularly significant on a number of levels:

“Fission Creative was launched on the basis of a passion for client service and a belief that the best design solutions were generated by a combination of great client communication, excellence in project management and creativity. These survey results prove that clients have embraced and endorsed our philosophy. As we approach our first birthday we are thrilled to have this support and are very grateful to all of our clients who participated.”

Scottish jewellery designer Cara Fairbairn produces a stunning range of jewellery, inspired by the art deco movement but often with very contemporary twists.

Her pieces are sold in hand-picked outlets throughout the UK but, with an increasing online interest, her website needed to help meet the demand. We developed a distinctive brand comprising strong contemporary colours within an art deco backdrop, and a visual identity which plays on her distinctive signature, making an interesting and unique shape.

The site not only supports e-commerce and integrates with Cara’s social media channels, but also is fully content managed by Cara herself, meaning that the site becomes an up to the minute reflection of her inspirations, influences and activities. Now that’s what we call bringing tradition right up to date!

Business-owner, journalist, parent and passionate gardener, Sheila Averbuch is someone for whom the phrase ‘time-poor’ seems to have been invented.

It’s no surprise then that she’s become highly skilled at time management, and that includes making time for maintaining her stunning garden. Amid this backdrop, Sheila decided to launch a blog for gardeners in a similar predicament – and so the Stopwatch Gardener was born. From the outset there was a deliberate aim to elevate the blog from the usual hobbyist writing and we worked with Sheila to actively promote the blog with a distinctive branding to support the philosophy, and strategic Twitter activity to raise awareness. Within weeks of the launch, Sheila had been invited to guest blog for The Guardian and had been awarded Dobbies ‘Blog of the Week’. It’s still a great read, whether you have green fingers or not!
